Plot
The movie follows a satirical comedy where the main female lead, Konkona Sharma, comes in contact with a pair of glasses that carry a magical boon that whoever uses this will be able to read others' thoughts. Upon learning this, Konana takes the opportunity to use them whenever she feels like introspectiving others, especially against her husband, as she is not happy with her marriage.
Star Performance
The film was shot in Bengali and Hindi and had almost the same cast. Initially, Arshad Warsi was approached to play the main lead, but later, for some reason, R. Madhavan was finalized. As usual, he nailed his role. Here, veteran actors such as Jaya Bachchan are seen as playing Konkana's mother's role, and we can also see Naseeruddin Shah in the frame. Konkana, being the centre of the movie, played her crucial role beautifully to grab everyone's attention and keep them hooked up throughout the film.
Analysis
The film is written in a unique style, which was raw then. This movie has exposed new genres and perspectives in the range of films. Also, the casting is excellent in this movie. It should've had a theatrical release in its first production completion itself back then. The film was shot and ready to be released in 2006, but due to some reasons, the director couldn't get a chance to release it in theatres; it remained hidden from the world until 2013, when Rituparno Sharma died due to a heart attack and as a tribute to him, the film was finally released in Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF).

Verdict
This movie is a blend of adult romance and family drama, which covers a range of emotions like laughter, curiosity, thrill, and suspense. Konkana portrays a variety of attitudes in her personality towards her character. Here, R. Madhavan is found cute, innocent, and helpless in his role. Jaya Bachchan's role was exemplary as well. Side characters were also played funny by the actors. If you love watching RomCom type of movies, then you can surely watch this movie.
