Plot
A struggling filmmaker from Bangalore helps the police of Jharkhand to find a massive crime syndicate that is threatening and looting several filmmakers.
Star performance
Prabhu Mundkar is literally in character’s skin, giving an outstanding performance. Divya Uruduga has also performed well, and the rest of the cast has lent superb support. Tota Roy Chowdhury is the standout in the film.
Analysis
The most significant achievement a thriller film can have is holding the audience's attention to the end. This film does that momentarily. The film ends in the first half but makes a more intense and thrilling second half a thing several directors lack in. actors’ conviction played their part well, Tota Roy Chowdhury is the standout in the film. Screenplay is one of the most significant factors in the conviction of this film. The climax would be debatable. The cinematography of the film also helps in enhancing the tone of the film. Most of the heavy lifting of this film is done by the actors; they have made unbelievable situations believable. The writing in the second half does falter but the conviction of actors overcomes it. Ranchi is an above average crime drama, its screenplay and acting is its most significant selling point and can be watched on a movie night.
