Akshay Kumar Implores The British Government To Watch Kesari : Chapter 2

During a promotional event for the same, the actor also implored the British government to watch this movie, which is based the courtroom drama that took place in 1919, following the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre.

Akshay Kumar is portraying the role of Sir Chettur Sankaran Nair, a former member of the Viceroy’s Executive Council, who not only brought forward the glaring truth of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, but also dragged the main perpetrators, i.e. Brigadier General Reginald Dyer and the Lt. Governor of Punjab, Michael O’Dwyer to court. Simon Paisley-Day is playing the role of Reginald Dyer in this movie.

Interestingly, British MP Bob Blackman had raised this issue too a few weeks ago in the British Parliament. The Conservative MP maintained that Great Britain is accountable to India for this tragedy.
