Priyanka Bose is a highly respected Hindi actress. Although she does not have many films to her name, but the one that she does, are very powerful in their own nature. She plays the lead role ‘Gangor’ as a tribal woman, who is a victim of a gang rape. According to her, growing up in India she believes that women themselves have become issues. She does not want equal rights, but she highly disapproves of the rights already given to women. She has a strong will to reach out to those issues and bring them out in the open through her movies. Since then, she has actively done socially relevant projects. “Sold” in 2014 was a Hollywood movie on child trafficking, “” in the same year was about a gang of fearless women fighting social injustice, and “Oonga” in 2013 depict the power of the rich and the powerlessness of the poor. All of these films carry a strong message for the world. Priyanka believes women need to be strong and is all out to be an example of that.
