Plot
Murthy Sahay and Jai Rathore plan for a ship attack with the permission of PM Vandana. Om Rathore, the para-commando, son of Jai, leads the mission. The mission is to extract the advanced nuclear alarming technology, the Kavach. During the mission, Om is shot in the head due to the power outage at the center. He goes into a coma. After three months, he wakes up from the coma. It is revealed that Om is Jai’s nephew. He is the son of Dev Rathore, Jai’s brother. Dev was a nuclear scientist. He planned to develop Kavach to protect India. Where is Dev now? Is their nuclear alarming technology safe for India? The rest of the film showcases that.
Star Performance
Aditya Roy Kapur is excellent in his role as Om. His body language and efforts to fit in the role are impressive. He excels in the action scenes. Sanjana is okay in her role. Jackie Shroff did justice to his role. Prakash Raj has nothing significant to do. Ashutosh Rana is impressive in his performance.
Analysis
The script is so complex, with many confusing layers. The same-old traitor-labelled patriot story makes us think of those old films. Though the action portions are extraordinarily shot, the lengthy screenplay makes the film tedious. Not all the characters are penned neatly, especially the role performed by Prakash Raj. It is quite disappointing to see Prakash Raj undertaking the stereotypical roles. The music and the visuals are okay. The editing should’ve been better.
