Shy, quiet, simple but successful, all these words aptly describe Prachee Shah Pandya. She is a trained classical dancer in the Jaipur Gharana style of Kathak and is an alumnus of Raheja College.

Prachee Shah stood first runner up in Miss Teen Bombay when she was 16. She has a hoard of laurels to her credit including Sringarmani and Nritya Urvashi for her dancing talent. In this regard, she is also a Government of India HRD Scholar. She was appointed as Cultural Ambassador of India and participated in Harare (Zimbabwe) International Art Festival 2007.

Prachee runs a charitable institute to promote Kathak by the name of Prachi Nritya Niketan wherein the motto of the institute is “To Serve Music Is To Serve God”. On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2009, Junior Chamber (Jaycee International) honored her for her contribution to acting and dance by nominating her amongst the “Ten Outstanding Women of the City”.

, her husband, himself is also an actor cum producer. He has acted in campaigns for Dalda Active and Good Night, among others. Prachee met Vishwas on the sets of the serial Manzil Apni Apni where he had come to meet the director. They got married on December 9, 2005. It was an Arya Samaj wedding with a mixture of Marathi and Gujarati rituals. They are now proud parents of a one year old daughter, whose name is Khiana.

The first break that Prachee got in the world of television was the role of Parvati in Ravi Chopra’s mythological series “Amar Chitra Katha”. Thereafter, Prachee has acted in various serials such as Kundali and Kahin Diya Jale Kahin Dil. Her roles in and Kyonki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi are always remembered by her fans. Kesar and Kayamat also gave her good exposure. Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam and Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon brought out Prachee’s talent to the fore. Another serial in which she featured was Ek Baar Phir. She also hosted a spiritual show “Urja” on Zee TV. Currently she is hosting a TV show “Rangoli” on DD National.

Other than television, Prachee Shah Pandya has also acted in several movies like Akash Vani and Student Of The Year. She has also shown her skills in the movies Haunted 3D, Isi Life Mein and .
