Plot
Raees, the gangster drama is about the rise and downfall of the goon named Raees. Raees is a normal guy, who finds hard to take forward a happy life. However, he sets a path on his own and becomes a gangster. Although he is a gangster, he has a golden heart. Raees gets the contacts with the biggie politicians and sets his business on a significant level. The life of Raees had been going on well, till he meets Jaideep Ambalal Majmudar, the Superintendent of police. Jaideep is a no-nonsense cop, who wants to wash out all the crimes and the criminals from the city. After his arrival, the business of Raees falls down. What will be the result of Jaideep and Raees’ clash? Watch the film in the theaters.
Star Performances
Shah Rukh Khan… Oh Man! What a performance! This is yet another new side of the Bollywood Badshah. Nawazuddin has also done his part well. Mahira is being used like any other templated heroine. However, she is good in a few emotions.
Analysis
Although the gangster story is not a new one to Bollywood, Rahul Dholakia has handled it well. The dialogues get the appreciation and the cinematography is stunningly good. ACP’s conversations need a special mention here. Music is quite impressive. The first half is perfectly paced.

Verdict
Mahira from Pakistan has no notable work and she has played a templated heroine. There are a lot of beautiful heroines here, who could also perform well. If you are an SRK fan, you will definitely watch the film twice. SRK has shown a different dimension in his performance. Raees… top in the race!
