PLOT

Sahil( Tusshar Kapoor) is a cartoonist who draws cartoons and makes his living out of it. Earlier he used to be an architect but later on drops his architectural career to sketch cartoons. He falls in love with a girl Ritu (Amrita Rao) who interns under him. Ritu too reciprocates his feelings and all seems fine until Ritu’s Father ( Ram Kapoor Ram Kapoor is an acclaimed and renowned television >> Read More... ) steps in the scene. Being a wealthy businessman and having huge dreams for his daughter, he loathes Sahil and says Sahil cannot have his daughter as his life companion. But after a series of persistent tries from Sahil he agrees but on one condition that Sahil will have to work for three months and raise a stipulated amount to win over Ritu. Confident and ready for the challenge Sahil starts working earnestly for the job but things don’t go his way and he eventually loses out on the challenge. But still he manages to win over her and also gets his cartoon strip published in a newspaper.

ANALYSIS

This movie falls flat because of a poor script and wasted potential of the story. The story should have focused more on the concept rather than stretching out the character’s profile. Also some characters are introduced just to swallow those extra minutes. Cinematography though is good and screenplay too is okay.

STAR PERFORMANCES

Tusshar Kapoor who is famous for his mute character in Golmaal series dawns a completely different role in this and acts it quite nicely, I expected him to exaggerate but he proved me wrong. Also he acts sober in this movie contrary to what he usually does. Amrita Rao plays the role of a typical Indian girl who gets upset when her father disapproves her choice. Ram Kapoor perfectly portrays the serious and shrewd businessman who wants nothing but the best for his daughter.

Decent performances by Tusshar Kapoor, Amrita Rao and Ram Kapoor.
Pleasant cinematography and screenplay.
A fresh concept.

WHAT’S NOT THERE?

Forceful inclusion of characters in the movie.
Extension of the character’s time which proves fruitless in the movie.
Story has no highs and lows and seems stale.

VERDICT

In my opinion it can be a one- time watch but still can be avoidable too at the same time. Overall this movie does not meets expectations and instead sketches something else-Stale and neutral affair with little to no thrills.
