Hunterrr is an adult comedy which talks outrageously about a man who is a sex addict and smartly calls himself a ‘Vaasu’ using it as a common slang.

PLOT

Mandar Ponkshe ( Gulshan Devaiah Gulshan earlier a theatre artist, now an Indian ac >> Read More... ) is an ordinary man who doesn’t look nice or doesn’t speak or dress nice. However, he has a gift, and unconventional humour and wit using which he can easily ride in a woman’s heart. At 12, he sees his first adult film and by the time he is in his 20s, he is sex addict who refuses to settle down in life because sex is something he needs on a regular basis, just like he needs to take a dump.

Mandar has a way with women whom he can easily convince to sleep with him in the same way that they would do charity and the married ones are easier to come along. But what happens when Mandar actually falls in love, when a girl he really likes ( Radhika Apte Radhika Apte, an Indian actress was born on Sept 7 >> Read More... ) comes around in his life? Will his past crop up in front of her? Will Mandar be able to give up his ‘all for sex and sex for all’ attitude?

Analysis

Hunterrr is viewed by many as a film which is a dreamy night for men and a film that reduces women to sex objects to a great extent. Although this adult comedy is filled with many sexual innuendos and encounters, the movie has just one real sex scene.

There should have been more of why Mandar actually is a sex addict though it’s portrayed well why and how girls fall for him. The film however passes on that men can be hunters and women have to be the prey, to be used for pleasure, used and disposed at the wishes of a man. It does point toward a good amount of objectification of women.

Star Performances

Both Gulshan Devaiah and Radhika Apte have done justice to their roles and their chemistry is quite cute and pleasant to be seen. All characters have been used here to describe and portray certain types and remarkably each of them does it well. You will be left satisfied with the deliverance of the roles by Devaiah and Apte and both have carved a niche for themselves.

What’s There?

An interesting plot that is catchy and a genre that everybody secretly likes.

Humour, which makes sense and, makes you laugh.

A good combination of romance and naughtiness and a good message as to which choice is better to be settled with.

What’s not there?

The plot could have discovered a little more, crept a little more into the fantasies of the man as well as the woman.

Too much time jumps from the past to the present, back and forth, makes the story a little too fast to grasp on.

Verdict

It is a fun movie, a light one that can be watched by anyone who enjoys a little spice. It has moments of laughter and emotion and both leave you with a nice feeling.
