Harshavardhan Kulkarni is a Bollywood Director, who stands out for taking unconventional films. This Engineer-turned-Director entered into the field of Cinema in the year 2006. Kulkarni is a multitalented person. Besides Direction, he is also into writing and Production. He started his career in the year 2006, by writing the screenplay of the Telefilm, named The Chosen One. The flick was directed by Vinil Mathew.

He then got the desire to direct a movie and hence assisted the Director Kaushik Roy, who did the film Apna Asmaan, in the year 2007. He did engineering in Pune but did not take up any jobs related to his course. Instead, he worked along with B.P. Singh of Television fame, who had studied in FTII of Pune. After assisting him, Harshavardhan did a post-graduate course at Film and Television Institution of India and then started creating a niche for himself in Bollywood.

Harshavardhan’s interest in the short films fetched him many awards, including the National Award for Best Film on Tourism.
