Alka Yagnik is a very popular playback singer of the Bollywood film industry. She was born on March 20, 1966. She has been working in the Hindi film industry for three decades. She had bagged seven Filmfare awards out of the thirty five nominations at the Filmfare awards. It was for the best playback singer award category. Her singing is quite beautiful and she was felicitated by many icons. 


She came to the Bollywood industry as a singer at her early age. This gave her a lot of experience and she groomed herself as a consistent and successful singer. Alka Yagnik's songs were listed more than 20 times in the “BBC's “Top 40 Bollywood Soundtracks of all time”. Alka Yagnik was born in Kolkata on 20 March, 1966 to the Gujarati-Hindu parents. She started her singing career at the age of six while she had sung the song for the All India Radio, Kolkata. 


She came to Mumbai at the age of 10 as a child singer. She had sung 2482 songs in 1114 films as of date. Alka Yagnik has a soothing voice that manifests the song even better. She is the fifth most successful and prominent singer of Bollywood cinema. Her career in Bollywood has been more than three decades and she had pulled out pretty good in the duet numbers. She is a classically trained singer who had profound knowledge in it. Alka Yagnik had won a lot of awards in the prominent ones like Zee Cine Awards, Star screen awards, Filmfare, IIFA awards, Bollywood movie awards, etc. Alka Yagnik had been highly rewarded for having won a lot of Filmfare awards and got the maximum number of nominations. 


In the hundred years of Hindi cinema function, Alka Yagnik's song “Taal Se Taal Mila” from the movie Taal was voted as the best song of the century. This had been done by Fever 104, , Hindustan Times and DesiMartini. She has been active in the Cinema industry since 1980.

Ameesha Patel was born on 9th June 1975. She is an Indian actress. She is working in Bollywood films and Telugu films as well. She performed in most of the blockbuster Indian films like Kaho Naa... After graduation she started her career as a financial forecaster at Khandwala Securities Limited. When she came back to home country, she joined theatre of Satyadev Dubey group and played various roles in different serials. She got first opportunity to do acting when her father’s schoolmate offered her in 2000 in a film Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai but she declined the offer as she desired to endure her studies in USA. She was replaced by Kareena Kapoor but due to some reasons Kareena was dropped and she again received the offer in a family lunch. After this film she became one of the most popular artists. Ameesha Patel also worked in a number of talk shows such as Rendezvous along with co-host Simi Garewal and some other shows others. Pramod Moutho is an eminent film and television actor who acted in more than 200 films and various television shows in India. He was born as Pramod Sharma from a Punjabi Brahmin in Kapurthala. He got his last name Moutho during his college days since he was known for playing mouth organ, so his friends usually called him as Moutho. He studied at NJSA Government College in Kapurthala. He initiated his career by doing stage plays and he even got a diploma in the Department of Indian Theatre.

 

Initially, he worked as a freelance stage actor in Delhi and Punjab. In 1972, one of the actors in the National Youth Festival backed out and he was asked to replace him two days before the final day. Since then, he has done amateur theatre and later, he moved to Delhi to try his luck in acting. He attended the National School of Drama Repertory Company in Delhi. He was the very first non-trained NSD actor who acted on stage for the Repertory. For the whole eight years, the brilliant actor has done almost all types of roles. In 1989, he moved to Mumbai after receiving an offer from the popular screenwriter and director, Chandraprakash Dwivedi to bagged the role of Shaktar in the historical drama series, Chanakya on DD National.

 

Subsequently, he entered the film industry. He was given a small role in Pooja Bhatt’s debut film, Daddy in 1989. His major break came from the blockbuster Bollywood action thriller film, Khalnayak by Subhash Ghai in 1993. He was launched as a new villain and received praises for his performance as Roshan Mahanta in the film. Later, he became notable as the most sought after villains in the film industry. Later, he appeared as the brother of Mama Thakur (played by Paresh Rawal) in another hit film, Dilwale. Since then, he has acted in films like Mafia, Loafer, Qila, Hero Hindustani, Agniputra, Deewane, Shikari, Indian, Jodi No. 1, Basti, Dev, Jodhaa Akbar, Dark Rainbow, 28 January Good Morning India 2009 and a lot more.

 

He also continued his journey in television and appeared in the Punjabi serials like Supne Te Parchhaven and Buniyad. He also donned a Punjabi Teleplay entitled, Bebasi. In the early 2000, he played as Fyomancho, the main villain in the superhero series, Junior G – The Magic Starts Now on Doordarshan channel. In 2010, he acted as a mentally disturbed doctor in the drama series, Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah on Sony Entertainment Television. From 2010 up to the present, he played as Mr. Avatramani in the popular courtroom drama series, Adaalat. He also played as the father of Jasveer (played by Sukirti Kandpal) on Jay Productions’ Rab Se Sohna Isshq which was aired on Zee TV.

 

Some of the popular stage plays to his credit are Hewers of Coal, Shuturmurg, Nayak Katha, Chhatrian, Surya Ki Antim Kiran se Surya Ki Pehli Kiran Tak and more.
