She sang several Hindi film songs, including the most successful song titled 'Charkha Chalati Maa' from the movie Pinjar which was released in 2003. After she released her first album Preeti, she worked on the album titled 'Aathwan Sur- The Other Side of Naushad, 'which was released in 1998, in which she sang songs that were composed by music director Naushad along with the singer Hariharan. Then she collaborated with her father on the album, "Sur" in 2002.
