Plot

Chanchal Chauhan is an IAS officer. She is in jail as she is charged with murdering her fiancée, Shakti. Shakti is a social worker and his elder brother Abhay Singh is an ACP. Minister Ishwar Prasad announces that he would resign if the government didn’t find the culprits behind the idol trafficking case. For an inquiry, Satakshi Singh visits Chanchal, who is now transferred to a bungalow, which is said to be the palace of queen, Durgamati. While interrogating her, Satakshi is shocked, as Chanchal transforms into Durgamati. However, the brilliant Satakshi finds out some interesting things behind Durgamati and idol trafficking. Who is the culprit? How did she find it out? Why did Chanchal kill Shakti? Watch the film to know the answers.

Star Performance

Bhumi Pednekar is good with her performance. The rest of the stars had done what is needed for their roles.

Analysis

When a movie is remade and the original version is a super hit, definitely the audience will compare the remake and the original. If it is interesting, then automatically, there will be chocolate showers and if not, the makers had to face negative criticisms. But, the rest of the characters make us feel that they should have been designed better. Karan Kapadia’s screen presence is very little and his character makes us feel that he should have been given a couple more scenes. Jisshu's character is not much strong as some more characters in the film. Similarly, the stars are perfectly picked in Bhaagamathie and that’s the difference in Durgamati. However, the stars did justice to an extent.
