Plot
A family grieves as they lose a son in a shootout conducted by a ruthless gang. The son’s father waits for the perfect time and decides to take revenge on the gang on Christmas Eve.
Star Performance
The movie itself is self-explanatory. The silent night is indeed a silent movie, as nobody in the film talks. It is a statement from John Woo, who returns as a director after years. Joel Kinnaman shines in his character, along with all the other lead actors. The supporting cast did a fantastic job.
Analysis
The movie doesn’t reach its goal fully. The return of the Maestro Woo unfortunately is a miss. The film contains the same old clichéd plot, which disappoints. The performances of the actors were amazing. The sound engineer did an outstanding work. Overall it’s a decent movie with predictable plot, excellent performances and fantastic background score.

The silent revenge movie, Silent Night can be appreciated for its technical aspects and outstanding performances. But the story did not serve us enough.
