starts with a U.S. Marine named Logan, who is serving in Iraq at the time, finds a picture of a girl on the battlefield following a huge blast where everyone except for Logan survives. From then on, he carries the picture around with him as a lucky charm. After the incident, Logan returns to Colorado to live with his sister, who takes care of logan’s dog while he’s away. Logan, however, finds it uneasy to fit in due to the battle after effects and survivor’s guilt, so he sets out to find the woman in the photograph. He gets a clue from the background of the picture that contains a light house. He searches for the place and finally comes to a town in Louisiana, where he asks everyone about the whereabouts of the woman in the picture.
Eventually, he meets the lady in the picture and finds out her name is Beth. During his first meet with Beth, he gets tongue-tied and couldn’t explain the purpose why he came. Beth automatically assumes he came looking for a job her grandmother was hiring. Beth’s grandmother immediately hires Logan, and he starts working there. Logan befriends Beth’s son, Ben and things go smoothly for a while. Romance brews up between Logan and Beth. This is where the drama begins and Beth’s former husband Keith steps in. He distrusts Logan and tries to keep him away from the family. Keith learns that Logan was trying to find out who Beth was before coming to meet them. He finally succeeds in keeping Logan away when he shows Beth the photograph of her that Logan was carrying around and tells her that he was stalking her. Beth realizes that the picture belonged to Drake (her brother, who was also a marine) and immediately asks Logan to go away. Then after a turn of events, the rest of the movie is about how Logan makes his way back to the family. The movie is packed with romance and drama and fits the genre of being ‘Nicholas Spark’ movie.
Verdict: It’s a feel-good movie, but adult supervision is a must for children below 12 to watch.
