, Aliens and Lord of the rings. All these films are a giant inspiration to Paul. The story revolves around two guys who are on a road trip across the country to go through various conventions and UFO sites, and they run into an actual alien named Paul. Now this alien has escaped from a government facility and asks for help from the two British tourists. It revolves around hip British and American comics playing together, the directors could not bring the comedy magic of Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz which are their previous smash hits.
There are many good aspects of the movie like the subplot where the Alien Paul opens people’s mind about their religious beliefs is well done too. If you love Science fiction and have a sense of humor, then you will love this film. There are many amusing sequences, but few of them will result in uncontrolled bursts of laughter. Paul makes its viewers experience an enjoyable two hours and laugh from time-to-time, but the actual goal of the film is not to pummel the audience with joke after joke. have created a disappointing form in a sci-fi comedy, and it will never reach the heights of Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz.
The movie also narrates that the modern civilizations have lost faith in the concept of God—at least a Christian God. The popularity of UFOs in pop culture has also been attributed.
Verdict: Overall, Paul is a fun movie and after this you would never look at E.T. in the same way again. But it does have its own loopholes when the movie appears to be more stupid and less logical.
