ANALYSIS: Oscar award nominee, Taylor Hackford, lost some essence of the movie. The movie was neither too good nor too bad. It was an average and a traditional crime movie with the basic plot. The director lacks some spirit in the story. During the scene where Lopez strips, it failed to create an exciting feel. We could understand that it is not about the person who is standing in front of the camera, but the camera shots, that give us some feeling.
STAR PERFORMANCES: The chemistry between Statham and Lopez is missing. Whereas, Lopez's chemistry with the camera is absolutely stunning. She looks beautiful in each and every frame. Though her role was so crucial, she was so bland to her role.
WHAT'S THERE? Statham's presence is a big boon to the movie. He is simply a machine. This movie is a treat for his fans.
WHAT'S NOT THERE? Statham's trademark, his sense of humor, is missing. Though this film is declared as an action film, it fails to satisfy a die-hard action genre fan. The essence of satisfaction is missing.
VERDICT: Lack of effort will go in vain.
