PLOT:Â
When Maggie Gyllenhaal is struggling with her farm, job, and her kids, Emma Thompson comes in to take care of the kids. Rhys Ifans, Maggie's brother in- law, tricks her to sell her land by giving a false information that her husband is dead. One of her kids feels that his father is alive. While the cousins, who had come to stay with the family, travels with the nanny to find the truth, the other kids try their best in stopping their mom from signing the papers. They get to know that Maggie's husband is alive. Will the kids be able to save the land?
ANALYSIS:Â
This is an old fashioned movie with some CGI touch. This movie also explains the importance of the family. With bigger landscapes and bright colors, the director makes the first half more colorful with loads of fun as well.Â
The director maintains the same pace throughout the movie and strikes the right tone. The script is good and satisfying as well. The climax of the movie casts an emotional spell on the audience.
STAR PERFORMANCES:Â
Maggie's rendition is pure. She speaks with the English accent and maintains a natural chemistry with the kids. Rhys Ifans comes as the antagonist with a comic touch.

gives a stunning performance as the loan shark. Vlahos and Butterfield handle their reactions beautifully while the other kids' characters are underwritten.Â
WHAT'S THERE?
The farm along with the cast gives a natural and a pleasing feel. It looks nostalgic and delightful as well.Â
WHAT'S NOT THERE?
Though most of the story looks familiar to us, the screenplay fails to show the subplot of the antagonist to be a believable one. Rhys Ifans being chased by two women looks weird.Â
VERDICT:
Not only the kids, but the elders will also expect the Nanny's comeback.
