Plot
When gold-digger Maximo is dumped by his wealthy older wife for a younger boy toy twenty-five years after their marriage, he is broke and homeless, forcing him to seek refuge in his estranged sister and nephew's home. Desperate to resume his once- luxurious lifestyle, he seeks out the help of one of his gigolo friends and chances upon an opportunity to live fabulously again: in the form of the wealthy widowed grandmother of one of his nephew Hugo's classmates.

The film in itself is hilarious, with several special touching and heart-warming elements. Eugenio Derbez contributes significantly to the comedic gold that the movie exudes, and the chemistry between him and Salma Hayek must be applauded. It is one of those classic comedies that are as feel-good as they're charming. The cast nailed it with their impeccable delivery, making it an enjoyable watch. Although it makes use of several racial stereotypes, it does so in a light-hearted manner, reminiscent of the older comedies that came before criticism and woke culture. At it's core, it's a slapstick comedy that's perfect for taking your mind off the mundanity and troubles of everyday life.

This movie is a prime example of what comedies used to look like before woke culture. It makes use of various stereotypes, but it does so in a way that does not come across as racially discriminating, and light-hearted in it's delivery. It's a highly entertaining, funny movie with lots of slapstick comedy, so if you're into that silly, Adam Sandler-esque humor, this movie is going to be your new favorite.
