Plot
The film revolves around Teddy. He drops out his high school because he is not able to concentrate on his studies. Now, in 2018 he is a barbeque salesman selling barbeque grills every day. He has a rich girlfriend named Lisa. Everything is going smoothly, but soon his life takes an unexpected turn. Teddy accidentally blows up his place of employment and is jobless now.
Teddy gets to know from his best friend Marvin that he could get a job at his investment firm, but for this, he should have a GED (General Educational Development or High School certificate). Teddy decides to attend a night school in order to pass his GED exam. Here he meets several odd students, his violent teacher who thinks he has learning disabilities, and his principal whom he bullied.
Will Teddy be able to deal with all this? Will he successfully pass his GED? Will his relationship with Lisa end?
Star Performance
Kevin Hart, who played the role of Teddy Walker, makes the film entertaining with his comedy. He alone adds strength to the whole film. Tiffany Haddish and Taran Killam are perfect in the role of a fierce teacher and a strict principal. They played their characters with all the required emotions. Megalyn Echikunwoke shows all the characteristics of a rich girl. The rest of the cast gave fantastic performances.
Analysis
Film Night School is full of comedy and emotional moments. It is a movie that gives various messages to the viewers, such as never lose hope, never giving up in life, making your dreams come true, and many more. It also depicts the importance of teachers and friends in our life. All the actors delivered did everything required to make the film engaging. Thus, we can say that Night School is an outstanding film.
