Plot: This movie is about a father who has just kicked his career to a great start only to gain knowledge of the fact that his two children are suffering from a terminal Pompe disease. It further takes us to the struggles and researches that a father indulges into.
What you may like:
1. A movie that talks about a terminal disease does so well. It has its share of realism and, therefore, is believable and connectible.
2. The kind of quality and skills used in the production of the film is a class apart and, therefore, a good watch.
3. As much as we enjoy the story that is so engaging, the performances by actors are intense and therefore, have done justice to the film. The direction of the movie is spot on too, and that is an additional score to the film.
4. The story is not just brilliant but is also told brilliantly. It is heartwarming and touching and is able to move your emotions.
5. It indeed is very thought provoking and will make you think of the suffering of the world which are otherwise taken for granted.
What you may dislike:
1. However novel the story maybe, the suffering of the brooding parents and the kind of sympathy it evokes is a cinematic cliché.
2. For all those who watch movies in order to distract themselves from the general suffering of the world, this movie should never be on your list. There is humor missing in the movie which will make you feel very intense and will be heavy on the heart.
Verdict: A very intense movie, with a generally brooding theme. It should only be watched if you are not weak hearted or like to watch rather overwhelming movies with a very touchy story that will make you cry possibly throughout the film.
