Plot 

The film shows how cavemen who survived the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs started playing football with a cooled down asteroid fragment. The film’s protagonist is Dug, voiced by Eddie Redmayne. Dug resided in the Stone Age in the lush green colony that formed in the asteroid crater. Dug tries to introduce new ideas to his tribe, sych as hunting mammoths instead of rabbits but was always turned down by his chief Bobnar, voiced by Timothy Spall. Lord Nooth, voiced by Tom Hiddleston drove Dug’s tribe out of their green land with his army’s force. Dug challenged Lord Nooth’s football team to a match against his tribe, staking their colony. Lord Nooth agreed to the bet knowing that the tribe had no talent. The film follows Dug as he helps his tribe train for the football match to win their land back.

Star Performance 

All the voice actors give good performances. They perfectly capture their character’s peculiarities, goofiness, and emotions. 

Analysis 

The film is a good light-hearted comedy animation. The story is simple but entertaining. The animation is good and the characters are goofy and relatable.

Verdict

“Early Man” would be a good film for family viewing. The characters and the humor are good. So, the film would be a good watch for comedy, adventure, and animation enthusiasts.
