Stars Performance:

Will Smith plays a successful executive in the advertising field. As usual, he has played his part in a casual manner. No flaws on the part of Will Smith. Smith has a lot of emotional scenes and he had done them with perfection. Edward Norton, Kate Winslet and Michael Pena, who play the senior associates of Will Smith, had done their roles, quite well.

David Frankel has taken a story plot with huge emotions and made the audiences travel in a sentimental track along with him. David has concentrated keen on the screenplay to make a huge difference in Will’s character before and after the death of his daughter. Taking the Love, Time and Death as three magical things in life is quite acceptable. The director’s choice in making the hero write letter to these three magical things in the Universe and getting the replies is a new formula in Hollywood.

What’s there?

Performances by the lead actors

What’s Not There?

Too much of philosophy

No humor to relax in the emotional entertainer

Films are meant to be entertainers with relaxing elements. Messages are welcomed in the films but without comedy it would be boring.
