Plot

Scott Lang leads a happy life with his wife, Hope Van Dyne, and Cassie Lang, his daughter. Hank Pym, the grandfather of Cassie, helps her build a device with which travel to Quantum Realm is possible. After knowing about the device, Janet Van Dyne, Cassie's granny, says that it is not safer to send signals to the unknown world, as she is aware of Kang, the Conqueror in the strange world. But, her advice goes in vain; the signal is captured, and all of them have to travel to the Quantum Realm. Who is Kang and what is his connection to Janet is explained in the rest of the film.

Star Performance

Paul Rudd is pleasing in his role, and his screen presence and comedy timing are laudable. Evangeline Lilly is good in her role though she got limited screen time. Kathryn Newton and Michelle Pfeiffer got ample screen time to prove their mettle.

Analysis

Like the previous Marvel movies, this film has special elements to impress the audience. A drink that could translate languages is a different addition. Kang's character is not discussed in detail, which is one of a few drawbacks. The writing is not much impressive, as many scenes are easily predictable. Earlier, it was said that Kang was a superpower man who could overtake the avengers. But, his role is not impressively made. The emotional scenes are not properly written and executed, though they have good performing artists on hand. The editing is pretty decent, and the VFX works are neat.
