is a 2014 independent American drama produced by Adam Saunders. Jesse Zwick has written the movie and is also the man behind the camera.
Plot: Alex, exhausted by his meaningless life attempts suicide after tweeting about the same. Hearing the unfortunate, Alex's college friends viz. Ben, Siri, Josh, Sarah and Kate gathers at Alex's countryside house. Ben and Siri, the married couple are at career crossroads tries to hide their bitter relation from others. The group has united after a long time which produces a pinch of fling and flirt between the old mates. Everyone is desperate to know the reason behind Alex attempting suicide but decides to ask it later considering his health.
As the story continues, Siri tells Ben that she might be pregnant in an attempt to save their marriage. On the same night, everyone gets drunk, and the circumstances become hostile, and Isaac and Kate start questioning Alex about his suicide attempt. Will the old group get back together? Will Alex tell the truth to everyone? What happens if Siri is pregnant? For answers to all these questions, you must go and watch the movie.
Analysis: Being an independent movie, it lacks the quality work and fails to impress the masses. The story line seems boring, and the acting further deteriorates the experience. Jesse Zwick fails as a writer, however, as a director, he has beautifully portrayed the intense character of Alex. The editing has been very lose, and the film bores at most of the vital scenes.
Star performances? The movie doesn't have any big names from the industry and fails to entertain the audience with the existing star cast. Jason Ritter fails to express himself as a devastated personality. The performance of the rest of the crew is also depressing and fails to attract the crowd. Rob Lowry's music the only thing from the movie you can pick as a positive act from the movie apart from the little romance between Kate and Isaac.
What's there?
1) The film has melodious music forcing you to sing along with it.
2) The film has the extraordinary scenic beauty of the countryside which will please the audience.
What's not there?
1) The movie lacks a firm story and a strong star cast to keep the audience interested.
2) It also stays behind the line in the technical area as the editing and cinematography don't kick through the minds.
Verdict? The movie doesn't have anything skeptical and can be avoided. However, if you want, you can watch it at your risk.
