. The actress is a trained dancer. She has been doing the role of goddess Lakshmi in On Namo Venkatesaya. She says that she had performed many mythological dance dramas on stage. When she was offered the goddess role and to act with Nagarjuna, she nodded immediately without even hearing the complete script, says Vimala. Although she is a classical dancer, she wouldn’t be getting a chance to expose her dance talent in the film. When she asked the director, Raghavendra Rao about dance sequence, he replied, 'What to do ma, Lakshmi Devi doesn't dance.' Vimala laughed and said that if she gets any opportunity to act in a film about Lord Shiva, then she might dance Thandav along with Shiva. When asked about her commitment, the actress said, "To be honest, before I heard the script, I was not aware of Hathiram Baba. My dance teacher might have told me about him but, I don’t remember. Just now I learned about him and how influential he was in formulating the rituals followed in Tirumala."
