In the festival of Athivaradhar Rising, Kanchipuram district has been witnessing lakhs and lakhs of devotees to worship Athivaradhar. As this is a festival that has been celebrated once in 40 years, a lot of people in and out of Tamil Nadu are visiting Kanchipuram.
Meanwhile, during the festival, a police inspector had been insulted. It is none other than the district collector of Kanchipuram who slammed the inspector for sending the public in VIP queue to worship Athivaradhar. The video had been rolling around the social networking pages. Many people started questioning about the action taken against the district collector, who degraded the cop in front of the public.
Justice Jayachandran voluntarily took the case and questioned the Chief Secretary to respond to this case within two weeks. What was the State Human Rights Commission doing asked the justice? Did they take any action against the Kanchipuram district collector, questioned Justice Jayachandran?
