is a well-known Hindi actor. He has done the role of villain in the movie Kaala. He has done the role of a politician who grabs the lower class masses of their money. In real life, Nana Patekar is philanthropic nature. Nana Patekar has spent all his wealth for the masses and is residing in a single flat. There was a famine in Maharashtra during the period of 2015. The farming lands developed fissures. Animals died due to the famine. Peasants committed suicide. Nana Patekar was very much affected by the suicides. With his co-actor Mankar he started a welfare association named Naam.
During the very first day, there was a fund of Rs 80 lakhs for the welfare association. Within one week there was a collection of Rs 7 crores. Nana Patekar visited the peasants and gave the funds. The welfare association is functioning in Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, and other cities. The association is doing social service as rehabilitation for widows, and self employment for young women. Nana Patekar is being praised as a real hero.
