Radio Petti is a film by debut director Hari Vishwanath. It has just won the audience award at the Busan International Film Festival. The audience award is based on votes given by the audience, which has seen many and different films from all the languages. So this is considered to be a great achievement, especially for a newcomer. The award comes from one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world.
Award winning director Vetrimaran, who recently won an award at the Venice Film Festival for his film Visaranai, took to Twitter to congratulate debutante, Hari Vishwanath. “I congratulate Hari Viswanath and his team for their film Radio Petti which has won the audience award at the Busan International Film Festival. For a debut Tamil filmmaker to win such a prestigious award is really great!”, he tweeted.
