“Veruli” is an upcoming Tamil film directed by Amudhavanan, a newcomer. It is a thriller film and has been wrapped up recently. It is expected to be released soon. The director says, "Veruli is based on true incidents that happened in different parts of Tamil Nadu. Stories have been compiled and will be showcased to the audience. Being a corporate professional, I was pushed towards filmdom through this issue. I scripted and narrated the story to my daughter before taking it to filmmakers in the industry. But eventually, I decided to foray the direction as I didn't want the movie to become a complete commercial one." when asked about the name Veruli, the director explains, "Veruli means a scarecrow.
