, the veteran director of Kollywood, had directed some hit films like Nalaya Manithan, Adhisaya Manithan, Puratchikaran and Kadavul. His recent releases are Kadhal Kadhai and Oru Iyakkunarin Kadhal Diary. The director is sixty years old. In this retiring age, he married Shirley Das, the heroine of his film, Kadhal Kadhai. Shirley is in her thirties, now. Velu Prabhakaran said, “In our country, none will marry a person of my age. That is why the question on my marriage arises. American President Donald Trump married a young woman at his 74. Age is not a constraint for the marriage. Everyone needs support. I feel lucky to get Shirley in my life. She has understood me well.” Both of them wanted to get married in front of the Press and hence tied the knots on 3rd. They will register their marriage, later.
