TASMAC Revenue In Tamilnadu Overtakes Movie Records!

TASMAC Shops opened in Tamilnadu again and the revenue for the TASMAC on 16^th May 2020 seems to be Rs 163 crores. However, the collection reports are not announced by the government. Madurai records the highest collection with Rs 44.7 crores and Salem bags the second place with Rs 41.07 crores. Trichy collected Rs 40.5 crores and Coimbatore received Rs 33.05 crores and grabbed the third and fourth places, respectively. Single-day collection of Rs 163 crores had crossed the first-day box office records of the leading heroes' movies.

Earlier, when the TN Government announced that the TASMAC shops would be opened, many people opposed it and even petitions are filed at the Madras High Court. The High Court pronounced the verdict to stop the liquor sales in TASMAC Shops. But, the government appealed further to the Supreme Court and got permission to open the shops again.
