State Bank Of India recently announced that the customers in the metropolitan cities should maintain a minimum of Rs. 5000; City customers should have a minimum of Rs. 3000; for the suburban customers it is Rs. 2000 and the customers in the villages should have to maintain Rs. 1000 in their Savings Account. If these minimum balances are not maintained, they will be fined, announced the SBI. This shocked the customers and they started showing their discontent on SBI. Now, Arundhati Bhattacharya, the Chairman of SBI states that SBI has 10 Cr Jan Dan Yojana accounts. To maintain these accounts, SBI has to spend a lot. To compensate the losses, we have implemented this scheme, says Arundhati. Meanwhile, SBI has announced a new option to its employees. Yes, like the corporate companies, SBI employees could work from their home. Training will be provided soon, announced SBI.
