‘Selvandhan’ Mahesh Babu Plans To Enter In To Kollywood

Mahesh Babu Born on 9 August 1975 in Chennai, Mahesh Ghattaman >> Read More... , son of erstwhile Tollywood actor and politician Krishna, had transparently declared his eagerness and proposal to act in a Tamil film as a single hero. He was in the Metro few days back for the promotion of his maiden Tamil film, Selvandhan. The Telugu version of his Srimanthudu is for the ever first being released simultaneously in both the languages. 

Mahesh was saying that,” several of my films have been remade here and have been big hits. May Tamil actors were doing my films here. I never got a straight script.” 

However, Mahesh Babu reiterated that his forthcoming films would have a simultaneous Tamil release as well. “My next film, Brahmotsavam , will have a Tamil release. I am planning to do Tamil dubbing myself then,” he said. 

Why Selvandhan is in Tamil? No secret. The film contains several known Tamil faces and been shot at several locations in the state. Much more, it is a family drama soaked with number of emotional hot spots that Tamil fans would like to find close to their heart. That’s why it is a simultaneous release. 

However, industrial pundits feel differently. They predict that after the much success of Baahubali, it is natural for other actors, in particular, young with full of career like Mahesh Babu to test the waters here. Unlike the past the market is experimented with many efforts and who does not want to, could not make inroads later. 

In fact the film was a delayed one. Because there was a big budget film Baahubali which is also from the Telugu film industry directed by his friend and next film director Rajamouli. Srimanthudu was fixed to be released on the same date of Baahubali release. In order to avoid every one’s interest the actor supposed to postpone of his film by a week time. Therefore Baahubali can make a successful run.

Personally Mahesh Babu did his college education in the Metro and was well versed in the local language. To add surprise to the audience and his fans altogether he spoke fluently in Tamil which thrilled all. Hence doing a solo is not looking to be a challenge for the younger star.
