RK Nagar Gears Up For By-polls!

RK Nagar in Chennai is the constituency of late CM “Jayalalithaa.” It is a rule that within 6 months from the death of the MLA, the by-polls should be conducted. Jayalalithaa was announced to be dead on 5th December 2016. Nearly four months rolled on and now, the Election Commission has announced the by-poll for the constituency. The nominations should be filed on 23rd March and the review of the nomination will be done on 24th March. If the contestants want to withdraw the nomination, they should get it done on 27th March. The election will be held on 12th April and the counting will be done on 15th April. Already “J Deepa” announced that she would be contesting in RK Nagar and the rumors rolled that TTV Dinakaran will challenge in the election.
