Rajya Sabha Election To Be Announced Soon!

The Rajya Sabha elections will be held in Tamilnadu soon for the six seats, whose service term gets over. “Kanimozhi” from DMK, KR Arjunan, R Lakshmanan and V Maitreyan from ADMK and Raja from Indian Communist Party are those six Rajya Sabha MPs from Tamilnadu, whose terms are getting over by this July 24. As Kanimozhi had been elected as a Lok Sabha MP, she resigned her Rajya Sabha post.

As six Rajya Sabha seats will be vacant in Tamilnadu from 24^th July, the sources close to the Election Commission state that the EC will announce the Rajya Sabha election date, soon. The DMK and ADMK parties are expected to provide the Rajya Sabha seats to the alliance parties, say some sources. Yet, we have to wait and watch!
