, a Tamil film producer, is contesting the Producers’ Council election, which will be held on 2nd April. He states that he is not a big producer and just an amateur. “Before starting the life as a producer, I have been forced to contest the elections. I didn’t produce 100 films; I am not well educated. I am a normal man and that is why I could understand the pain in producing a film. The films are produced in crores budget. Then how come a producer, be a simple and normal guy? Although we invest lakhs and crores, we are not able to get back the investment with a profit of Rs. 1 lakh. That is the reason why a producer is a normal person.” Suresh Kamatchi is contesting under Munnetram team. He says that if he couldn’t solve the issues in Producers’ Council, he would resign his post. J
