Pattali Makkal Katchi’s Kanchipuram Union Secretary Jegan, his wife Vijayalakshmi and Jegan’s brother Pasupathi had been attacked by a rowdy Manimaran. Manimaran attacked them with the sickle when Jegan, Vijayalakshmi and Pasupathi were standing in front of their house. All the three are admitted to the hospital and Baluchetty Chatram police are inquiring this case. Pasupathi is severely injured and he is admitted to Chengalpet Government Hospital.
Already there are seven cases filed against Manimaran including 2 murder cases. As the election is very close, this incident has created a furor in Kanchipuram area. Lok Sabha Polls and Assembly by-polls will be held on 18th April 2019.
