The High Court had temporarily banned the Coca-Cola and Pepsi companies to fetch the water from Tamirabharani. When the people were rejoicing the ban, the Madurai High Court put an end card to the happiness. It lifted the ban and allowed those companies to fetch the water required to make the unhealthy drinks that spoil the Indian youth. Following the ban lift, the social activists in Tirunelveli started protesting against it. They get down into the river and raised slogans. When they planned for a big protest today, the cops didn’t permit them to do so. So, the social activists decided to clean the river, which is the duty of the state government. They removed a lot of Pistia, which is widespread in the river and obstructing the water flow.
