Maternity Period Amendment Bill Passed In Parliament!

Maternity Period Amendment Bill is passed in parliament. It helps the women employees, who have just delivered the babies. As per the bill, the women employees in the government sector are provided with the maternity leave for 24 weeks. Previously, they had a maternity leave of 12 weeks. It is also announced that the women, who adopt children could take two weeks leave with pay. This is also considered as a maternity leave. Recently, State Bank of India has announced a scheme to its employees. Like the IT companies, the SBI staffs could work from home and they will be taught computing skills. This system will be very much useful to the women employees, who have toddlers.
