Vijay's Sarkar has taken one of the biggest openings ever for a South Indian film. Sarkar has broken the shackles and collected approximately 2.37 crores in Chennai city alone on the first day. It has now come in as an official confirmation that it has the record for the highest gross in the TK area of Tamil Nadu.
