Now, the film is re-released after 47 years in a digital print. The film has been received well by the audience and the Sivaji fans are visiting the theaters again and again to watch their favorite actor’s movie.

Vasantha Maligai has been screened in Annamalai Theater in Simmakkal, Madurai. Sivaji fans celebrated it as a festival. They fired the crackers as if it is the first release. To encourage more visitors, theater management had announced a silk saree scheme. A lucky woman will be the winner of a silk saree in the daily lucky draw. As they announced this scheme, the number of women audience had increased considerably.
