Kanaka Mahalakshmi, the daughter of veteran actress Devika, made her debut in 1989 with “Karakaattakkaran.” After the super hit film, Kanaka was showered with a lot of opportunities and she utilized it well. In most of the films, she did rural girl roles. She was mainly seen in Tamil and Malayalam films. Kanaka’s father Devadoss and mother Devika separated due to some misunderstanding when she was young. After the death of her mother, Kanaka was left alone. She was not seen in the films after 2001. The 44-year-old actress is said to be unmarried and has been living her life by domesticating a lot of pets. Once, Kanaka’s father called her a mad and she was also rumored to be dead out of cancer. Kanaka denied all the rumors with her interview. Recently, the actress said that the pets she grows are not like some humans who are disloyal.
