. Bala was honored with the National Award for the first time as the Best Director for his movie, “Nan Kadavul”. This movie has Arya, Pooja and Rajendran in the lead. From this movie, Rajendran is called as “Nan Kadavul” Rajendran. He has done a cruel villainy role in this movie. During an interview, Bala was crowded with the reporters and they asked Bala about the sequel of “Nan Kadavul” and Bala replied them funnily, “I am ready to make the sequel; but Arya should grow a beard for that. If he is ready, I am also ready”, laughed the director.
