As 2.0 was planned for 25^th and Akshay officially announced his film on 26^th, it was confirmed that 2.0 would not release on the said date. Later, it was stated that 2.0 would release in April. Superstar’s Kaala Karikalan directed by “Pa. Ranjith” was supposed to be a Pongal release. Earlier, it was planned that Kaala would release after 2.0 hits the screens. As 2.0 gets delayed, it was rumored that Kaala might release first. But, Superstar stated that Kaala would release only after 2.0.
