Director conveyed about the single, "The songs begins with "Nee" which is an outstanding Love song. The number opens with a melting melody tune and adheres to techno style. Yuvan has composed the song in such a way that it comes under a different genre". Velappan revealed about Yakkai, "A guy spots a girl in his college first year and falls in love with her.
