Did Nivin Satisfy The Audiences?

Nivin Pauly, the heartthrob of the Tamilnadu and Kerala youngsters, came with his second direct Tamil film, “Richie,” last weekend. The film had been in production for over a year and it is directed by Gautham Ramachandran. Richie is the remake of the super hit Kannada film Ulidavaru Kandanthe, a film scripted and performed by Rakshit Shetty. Shraddha Srinath, Prakash Raj and Natarajan Subramaniam play pivotal roles in Richie. Although the film has a different story and excellent performance of the stars, it didn’t attract the audiences. The first-day box office collection of the film is Rs. 1.5 crore in Tamilnadu and Rs. 1.28 crores in Kerala. But, the second-day box office collection turned out to be low due to the poor comments by the viewers. However, the film had been criticized well by the experts. As it has collected just Rs.5 crores at the end of two days, the film might not enter the success list, stated a trade analyst.
