Chennai 600028, which grabbed the attention of everyone in 2007, marked the directorial debut of actor cum singer, Venkat Prabhu. The film with “Jai,” Premgi Amaren, Nithin Sathya, “Shiva,” Aravind Akash, Vasanth Vijay and Vijayalakshmi Agathiyan was a super hit. After nine years, the director has made the sequel with the same team. The addition to the film is Vaibhav Reddy, whom he introduced in his second film, Saroja. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music composer of the film. The sequel titled as Chennai 600028 II Innings is in its wrap-up stage and the director has announced the release date.
