Rasipuram, the town that is popular for a sound education system, has become a place for the baby sale. The illegitimate babies and the babies who are born in poor families are being sold out with birth certificates. The babies are available at different rates depending upon their skin tone and weight. Boy babies are sold out for Rs 4+ lakhs and the girl babies are sold for Rs 3+ lakhs. A fake birth certificate for the babies with the buyers as the parents are also available at a cost of Rs 70, 000 from the Rasipuram corporation office.
An audio clip released recently and a couple speaks with the broker in the audio that went viral. She says that she has been successfully running the baby sale for the past thirty years. This has shocked everyone and it is also doubted that a big gang has involved in child trafficking business too.
