,” the mesmerising singer of Kerala was addressed as Late Singer by a host in Tollywood. Recently, a felicitation ceremony was held in Tirupathi to honour Gaana Gandharvan, Yesudas. Renowned Telugu anchor Jhansi Lakshmi had been roped in to anchor the show. While addressing the veteran singer, Jhansi said Amara Gaayakudu, which is used only for the later singers. While everyone at the function was stunned, Jhansi carried on the program without any regrets. People thought that she would realise it soon and will plead apology but nothing happened. Yesudas was blank and we could understand that it would have hurt him a lot. Jhansi has been in the field for decades and none expected that a senior anchor will make such a blunder.
